Mrs. Patricia Barrett, a new math teacher at South, teaches Algebra and Algebra II. She loves math since there’s always an answer to everything, and she says that math is “similar to riding a bike or really doing anything— once you practice it enough you can get it.” Mrs. Barrett believes everybody learns in their own way and, because of that, she strives to teach diverse methods to solve problems
Since junior year of high school, Mrs. Barrett knew that she wanted to be a teacher. After seeing how much her teachers loved their job and she was inspired to go to work and feel the same way. Before working at South, she was a teacher at a Catholic School for a short period of time and a permanent substitute in a middle school.
